Quick Start Guide including only basic information needed for initial mining start (assume you understand basic facts like mining program selection and setup):
- There are currently three p2pool networks available for mining VTC:
1st with about 800MHs global performance
2nd with about 100MHs global performance
3rd with about 25MHs global performance - Due to way how p2pool works, chances to get share (= submitting accepted work) and then to be paid are following:
on 1st network you get 1 share i 1 hour with 3MHs performance on average
on 2nd network you get 1 share i 15 minutes with 1,5MHs performance on average
on 3rd network you get 1 share i 15 minutes with 50kHs performance on average - As expected time to share is only average value, it should take multiple of this value to get share sometimes. Due to this fact, it’s optimal to mine:
on 1st network if your total hashrate is at least 3Mhs (3MHs on 1st network = 1 share per hour)
on 2nd network if your total hashrate is between 1,5 – 3MHs (4 shares per hour)
on 3rd network if your total hashrate is below 1,5MHs (up to 4 shares per hour) - To find node addresses for p2pool networks use:

pool address: one gained from p2pool scanner (prefer nodes close to you – same country/country closest to you, local rate of node is not important as only global pool rate counts)
worker port: by default, first network uses 9171, second 9172 and third 9174
user: your VTC wallet payout address
password: x
