Digitalcoin News

On the Reddit front

  • I had promised that we would do something with /u/digitalcoinbot a while back. Life got in the way, but here it finally is! We now have a “live” price index taken from cryptocoincharts, and network information straight from the daemon.

  • We welcome 2 new moderators that were not properly introduced in the last newsletter: /u/thebutz, who quickly went to work and redid the banner to match the one from digitalcoin.co, and /u/vhostnet, an active member of the IRC community.

  • /u/happyfocker wins the 200 DGC bounty! Admittedly, /u/dgctipbot hasn’t moved much money around during the past 2 weeks, but it is a much deserved reward for someone as generous as him/her! Cheers!

News of the world

  • CryptoAve.com is back, as first posted here by /u/Fullmetalgurren in this thread.
    Much excitement ensued!

  • With the CryptoAve relaunch out of his plate, /u/baritus2 had finally time to clean up the source of the coin and publish it in this GitHub repo, a development fork of the digitalcoin client. Apparently, Baritus is working“on fixing a crashing bug”. If you would like to contribute to the source code, don’t hesitate to do pull requests!

  • The foundation is running a demographics survey, with a 100 DGC prize (!!!!!!) for those who fill the survey. Head over to this forums post to read instructions.

  • With Mintcoin out of the way, we’re now in the first place on Lovecrypto. An impressive feat, since we started so far behind. Congratulation to everyone, and keep on voting!

Services

  • Digitalcoin is now listed on Cryptocoinrank, a website similar to CoinMarketCap.com or CoinGecko.com. The twist? This website aggregates informations from multiple platform on a single page: twitter, bitcointalk, reddit, etc. Speak with the devs in this announcement thread.

  • As you may know, Hash engineering are now maintaining the mobile wallet client. If you have any concerns or complaints, do not hesitate to bring them up, because they are doing an awesome job at resolving issues, as this fast feedback loop proves it.
