UPDATED WHITECOIN CLIENT CONFIRMED

While we are all anxiously awaiting the release of the new WhiteCoin client with Proof-of-Stake support, I have a small update to present to you.

It’s a bit of positive news to hopefully ease the anxiety you’re all feeling.

The updated WhiteCoin client has been confirmed to be staking on the WhiteCoin testnet. This is excellent news, as it shows the current developers will not release the new client before everything has been tested properly.

On the other hand, it does mean we will have to wait a little bit longer. Then again, if you really want quality service, you’ll have to show a bit of patience. There isn’t much you or anyone can do about that I’m afraid.

Before us, the users, will get the updated WhiteCoin client, the current developers want to make sure the prominent exchanges get it installed and synced up first. This means Cryptsy, Poloniex and MintPal will receive the updated client first.

After the exchanges have tested the new WhiteCoin client and given it the green light, the pool owners will receive the client in order to update their pools. Finally, Windows and Mac OS X users will get the updated client after that.

I know the wait is long and tedious. But I can’t stress enough how much of a necessity it is to make sure exchanges and pools upgrade first successfully. We, as users, can wait a few hours longer, it won’t affect us as much.

For those of you waiting for a price increase on the exchanges, beware that the new WhiteCoin client might lead to a massive dump of coins. Don’t get caught in a landslide, and never invest more than you can afford to lose.
